HC Practitioner Vision Statement
We are a Healing Presence.
NHC Practitioner Mission Statement
We serve NHC and the community by lovingly giving of our time and energy. We express the principles of SOM in all that we think, say and do. We have a conscious awareness of Spirit in and through all life as we daily practice the Presence. We daily practice the use of prayer and spiritual mind treatment to maintain our Oneness with God.
What is a Religious Science Practitioner?
A Religious Science Practitioner is a professional who has been trained in the use of Spiritual Mind Treatment, a form of Affirmative Prayer which helps people meet challenges and grow in spiritual understanding. Practitioners live, demonstrate and practice Spiritual Truth in their lives to the best of their ability by practicing the principles of Science of Mind.
Practitioners are licensed by United Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles that represents four years of study in prescribed courses. They have passed written and oral exams to become a Practitioner. They are an Ecclesiastical support to the Minister.
When Might a Person See a Practitioner?
Many visit a Practitioner when faced with specific challenges or to grow in spiritual understanding. When there is a desire to change our life, the Practitioner teaches spiritual principles. As we apply these principles to our daily activities or affairs, our lives change for the better. When we are caught up in the disease of our bodies, disharmony in relationships, discontent with our careers, ourselves or any aspect of the material world; or when we sense a lack in our financial stability, it is helpful to see a Practitioner. A Practitioner continues to see and know the wholeness in each situation, while understanding the human condition.
How Do I Contact a Practitioner?
There are 2 ways to contact a Practitioner of New Horizons Center. See a Practitioner on Sunday at service. Many are available to do immediate Spiritual Mind Treatment after service as a part of their role in support of the Sunday service. Contact a specific Practitioner from the telephone numbers provided to have a private session or contact New Horizons Center directly at 303-664-5603 to arrange a Practitioner session.
Additionally, Spiritual Mind Treatment forms are available at the church that can be submitted for weekly treatment. An assigned Practitioner treats daily for the request.
Is There a Cost to See a Practitioner?
In private practice, a licensed Practitioner receives a fee for their time and skill in the use of Spiritual Mind Treatment/Affirmative Prayer. Each Practitioner establishes their individual fee. These arrangements are made between the Practitioner and the client. If a Practitioner is consulted during the Sunday service through the Ministry of Prayer, no fees are charged, but time is more limited. Prayer requests can be submitted at anytime and a Practitioner will do Spiritual Mind Treatment for a week around the prayer request. The Minister is also a licensed Practitioner whose services may be scheduled.
